Classes Offered in the Writing Center
English 109 - College Writing Workshop
Placement through departmental examination or consent of instructor - 1 or 3 credits
Prepares students for academic writing and helps to improve and strengthen their writing skills. Offered every fall and winter. One credit students are required to work in the Writing Center 2 hours every week. Three credit students are required to attend ENG 109 class and work in the Writing Center 4 hours every week.
English 363 - Seminar in Collaborative Writing Theory and Practice
Consent of instructor - 3 credits
Prepares students to become tutors in the Writing Center. Offered every winter semester. Students are required to spend an additional 2 hours every week in the Writing Center while taking this course.
