March 25th - March 31st, 2006
03/28/06 Cash and ID was stolen from a wallet in an unlocked locker in the Recreation Center. An investigation continues.
03/30/06 Someone attempted to pry open a vending machine in the woman’s restroom in the University Pavilion. An investigation continues.
03/31/06 Two aftermarket car stereos were stolen from two vehicles parked in the Mill St. Ramp. Finger prints were recovered and are being analyzed. An investigation continues.
March 18th - March 24th, 2006
03/21/06 A rental locker in the men’s locker room in the Recreation Center was cut open. This incident is under investigation.
03/21/06 Two subjects acting nervously were seen pulling into the Murchie Science building’s parking lot (Lot G). They parked in the lot and walked away. An investigation of the car revealed that it had been reported as stolen. DPS continued to monitor the vehicle. The subjects returned a short time later and were arrested as they were about to drive off. Both subjects were turned over to Flint P.D. as the car was stolen from their jurisdiction. The vehicle was returned to the owner.March 11th - March 17th, 2006
03/14/06 A subject begging in the University Pavilion was arrested for disorderly conduct. A crack pipe was discovered subsequent to this arrest. The pipe tested positive for cocaine. Criminal charges are being sought.
03/14/06 DPS was called to the Williams S. White building when a 3 year old child placed one of her fingers in a metal salt shaker and it could not be removed. The child was transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.
03/15/06 A woman called in a non-specific threat to the University. The telephone number from the caller was obtained. This incident remains under investigation.
03/16/06 Hit and run property damage was reported to a car parked in the Mill Street parking ramp on 3/14/06. This incident remains under investigation.
03/16/06 A student left his laptop unattended for two hours on the 2nd floor of the University Center. When he returned it was gone. This incident remains under investigation.
03/16/06 DPS was called on three subjects that had been drinking and were disorderly on the first floor of the Thompson Library. The subject were located and identified. Two out of three subjects had warrants for their arrest. One of these subjects was on probation and was in violation of the terms of his probation. One subject was transported to the district court to be arraigned on the outstanding warrant. The other two were released pending further investigation.
03/16/06 Housekeeping made a report of graffiti in the men’s bathroom in the University Pavilion. This incident remains under investigation.
March 4th - March 10th, 2006
03/06/06 Computer hardware components were stolen out of several Library computers awaiting delivery to UM Ann Arbor. The machines were dusted for fingerprints and several fingerprints were obtained. The investigation continues.
03/07/06 A woman that has been repeatedly trespassed and arrested on campus was arrested again after she begged students at the William S. White building. A felony warrant was recently obtained on this same woman for possession of cocaine (crack pipe with residue).
03/07/06 A description of a subject and the van he drove was obtained from surveillance tape as he broke into two vehicles parked near the William S. White building. Personal property was stolen from the vehicles. This investigation continues.
03/08/06 A subject, fitting the clothing description of the suspect from the larceny from the vehicle on 3/7/06, was observed drinking beer under Harrison St. at the Flint River. He was determined to be on probation and in violation of his probationary requirements. His probation officer was contacted and advised. This investigation continues.
03/10/06 Public Safety responded to a call where two subjects were seen attempting to get into locked offices in French Hall. Both subjects had active arrest warrants for their arrest. They were arrested and transported to court for arraignment on the warrants.
