October 9– October 15, 2004

10/11/04 Monday A subject was contacted for consuming alcohol near the Steven's Street Pedestrian Bridge . A computer check showed he had eight warrants for his arrest. The subject was arrested. Marijuana was found in his possession, subsequent to his arrest. The subject was trespassed from University property, arraigned on his warrants and new charges will be sought for the liquor and drug violations.

10/11/04 Monday Minor hit and run property damage was reported to a car parked in Lot A near the Recreation Center . A witness copied down the license plate of the at fault driver.

10/11/04 Monday A portable DVD player was reported stolen from an office in the William S. White building.

10/12/04 Tuesday Public Safety assisted County Sheriff deputies with a criminal that ran from Judge Marable's court room. The judge had ordered the subject be taken into custody. The subject ran out of the court room and then from the building. A Public Safety officer driving by at the time observed the foot chase and was able to intercept suspect and detain him until Deputies took him into custody.

10/12/04 Tuesday A subject that had been caught on surveillance tape prowling the North Bank Center . This same subject was seen loitering in front of the 68 th District Court. He was identified and it was learned he recently got off of parole. He was trespassed from University property.

10/12/04 Tuesday A student returned to her car parked in the Mill Street parking ramp and found that someone had keyed her car.

10/12/04 Tuesday A student's wallet was stolen after she accidentally left her wallet in the copy room in the Library.

10/13/04 Wednesday A framed poster was reported stolen from a wall in the William S. White building. The poster was later found to have been moved and not stolen.

10/13/04 Wednesday A faculty member's purse was stolen from her office in French Hall. A short time later a person attempted to use the victim's credit cards to withdraw cash from the University Pavilion ATM machine.

10/13/04 Wednesday Men's wallets from two lockers in the Recreation Center were stolen.

10/13/04 Wednesday A student reported to Public Safety that she observed two women pushing a third unwilling woman into a van and driving off. It was later determined that it was family members involuntarily committing a third family member for evaluation and treatment for drug and alcohol abuse. This incident did not involve a UM-Flint student.
