July 23 - July 30, 2004

07/24/04 Saturday A complaint was called in regarding a group of skateboarders skateboarding in the North Bank loading dock area. One was in possession of open alcohol.

07/25/04 Sunday Graffiti was sprayed in several areas near the remodeled pedestrian bridge crossing the Flint River.

07/28/04 Wednesday A University of Michigan – Flint student was identified as a suspect in the theft and subsequent use of another student’s credit card. The credit card was stolen from the Recreation Center and used at several stores in Burton. An investigation by Public Safety obtained evidence and video footage that pointed toward the suspect. When confronted with the evidence, he admitted responsibility for using the stolen credit card.

07/30/04 Friday A member of the grounds crew called in a complaint regarding a subject hiding something in the bushes near the river. The subject was contacted and identified. He was hiding his bed roll in the bushes for later retrieval.

07/30/04 Friday A student left his wallet unattended in a room in the William S. White building. He returned home and then realized he had forgotten his wallet and called Public Safety. Public Safety found his wallet in the room with its contents strewn about and the cash missing.
