RACE Are We So Different Speaker Series

The Flint Truth and Action Partnership Project (FTAAPP) Speaker Series explores local issues related to race and racism, presented with the University of Michigan-Flint Office of University Outreach.

Events are free and open to the public and will occur in various locations from September 17th through November 12th.

[IN] on the Road Bootcamp in Grand Blanc

UM-Flint's [IN] on the Road Business Bootcamp is coming to Grand Blanc!

Three part series of workshops that will help you take your idea to market and a Business Pitch Competition

Session will be held October 25th from 5:00 p.m.-8 p.m at McFarlen Library (515 Perry Rd., Grand Blanc, MI 48439).

There will also be a Business Pitch Competition on November 8th at Grand Blanc City Hall (203 E Grand Blanc Rd, Grand Blanc, MI 48439)

These events are open to all adults and teens interested in starting a business.  Sessions are free thanks to generous support from The Harding Foundation.  Dinner will be provided.

Join us for Live music, food and fun.  This MyFlint event will explore Flint's Art Scene. Artwalk features a rotating exhibit and takes place the second   Friday of every month.

Illuminate Suicide Awareness Sidewalk Stroll

When:  Saturday, September 22nd from 6:30-8:30 p.m.

Where: Brush Alley Park (Harrison/First)

University Outreach is proud to be partnering with NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) on this suicide awareness sidewalk stroll.

Participants will meet at Brush Alley Park and  will proceed to the hope rock stop and paint inspirational messages on rocks that will be placed around UM-Flint's campus.
