Libby Bell, MSN, RN
Professor Bell is a Lecturer III in the School of Nursing. She received her MSN in Nursing Education from Oakland University in Rochester, MI. Professor Bell has been a faculty member in the School of Nursing since 2004. Professor Bell has been a practicing RN for 33 years in the areas of adult critical care.
Professor Bell is the lead faculty for Health Assessment (NUR 202) in the BSN program, and clinical faculty for Synthesis of Nursing Knowledge and Practice (NUR 435 and NUR 436).
RESEARCH AND SCHOLARSHIP
Professor Bell's research interest includes patient safety and early recognition of deteriorating patients.
Professor Bell serves on the Undergraduate Student Affairs Committee, the Undergraduate Success Committee,and the Nominating Committee. In the community, she works with schools in the Flint community to provide training courses and certifications for teachers in Heartsaver CPR, AED & First Aid.
