Dear Campus Community:
The University of Michigan-Flint’s Department of Public Safety (DPS) is dedicated to working in partnership with our campus community to enhance safety and ensure ongoing communications with all stakeholders. Community engagement is paramount to all public safety efforts and the opinions of our students, faculty and staff are a vital part of maintaining a safe learning environment here at UM-Flint.
To that end, we are pleased to announce a series of community conversations later this week to engage in casual, but open discussions about safety and whatever related topics emerge. The conversations will focus on us listening to your concerns or ideas about parking, panhandling or any general matters regarding safety on our campus at one of the following conversations:
- Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at UPAV lobby (near stage) from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, December 7, 2017 at UCEN lobby (near Starbucks) from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.
- Thursday, December 7, 2017 at First Street Residence Hall lobby from 6 to 7 p.m.
If you’re not able to participate in one of these meetings, please share your comments or concerns by visiting https://www.umflint.edu/safety/comments-suggestions-or-concerns or email me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org .
