With affordable tuition and financial aid options for graduate students, UM-Flint’s graduate programs offer outstanding academics and a recognized U-M degree for an excellent value. Qualifying graduate students also have access to a limited number of grants and scholarships as well as a wide range of loan options.

Scholarships: UM-Flint offers a range of scholarships for graduate students as well as scholarships for individual degree programs. Learn more about your scholarship options and how to apply. Admitted students: the Office of Financial Aid fall 2019 scholarship application is will open mid-December. February 15, 2019 is the priority deadline for graduate students, June 1, 2019 the final deadline. 

Fellowships: UM-Flint offers two fellowships that provide financial support for graduate students. Learn more about the King Chávez Parks Future Faculty Fellowship Program and the Rackham Fellowship

Research Assistantships: Graduate Student Research Assistantships provide graduate students the opportunity to earn stipends each month while assisting faculty with performing vital and groundbreaking research. 

TEACH Grants: Students in our MA in Literacy Education and Education with Certification (MAC) are eligible to apply for the Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education Grant (TEACH)Our MA in Early Childhood Education students are eligible to apply for MIAEYC's T.E.A.C.H. grant

Loans: By applying for the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), students are able to apply for a Graduate PLUS Loan. More information can be found here
