Why study Spanish at the University of Michigan-Flint?
Choices. Our Spanish program offers two tracks: the General Program in Spanish and the program in Spanish and International Studies. Students also have the opportunity to earn a teaching certificate. Choose the track that best fits your aspirations!
International Studies. This specialized track focuses on mastering the Spanish language and understanding the culture in addition to studying several other disciplines. Students examine Spanish as it relates to history, political science and anthropology.
Growth. As the global economy expands, employees with a multilingual background will become increasingly necessary. Adding a second language to your resume will benefit you in almost every occupation and will open doors to a world of possibilities.
