Database Development and Assistance
Overview
Several units within ITS are staffed with personnel who have expertise in database and web-based form development.
Data and Information Management
The Data and Information Management (DIM) team provides technical support for the use of Banner, the Student Information System (SIS), and the UM-Flint e-Commerce site. DIM is currently searching for a web-based reporting tool to replace the practice of using Microsoft Access to facilitate Banner reporting.
Web and Instructional Technology
The Web and Instructional Technology (WIT) team provides technical support for the use of Microsoft SQL databases with web-based reporting and forms for data that is not associated with Banner/SIS or the UM-Flint e-Commerce site. The WIT team also provides fee-based services such as speciality programming of web-based reporting and forms.
