DIRECTIONS TO THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN-FLINT
I-69 East and West
TRAVELING WEST FROM PORT HURON ON I-69 & TRAVELING EAST FROM LANSING ON I-69
Take I-69 to I-475 north to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), which is approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left once so as to be traveling west on Longway Boulevard. At the first light you come to on Longway, turn left onto Chavez (southbound). Continue traveling south on Chavez. At the second traffic light, turn right onto campus. Immediately to your right is the UM-Flint Mill Street Parking Deck, which accommodates both visitor and student parking.
I-75 North from Ann Arbor
Take US-23 north to I-69 east. Travel east on I-69 to I-475 north. Take I-475 north to exit 8A (Longway Blvd.), which is approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left once so as to be traveling west on Longway Boulevard. At the first light you come to on Longway, turn left onto Chavez (southbound). Continue traveling south on Chavez. At the second traffic light, turn right onto campus. Immediately to your right is the UM-Flint Mill Street Parking Deck, which accommodates both visitor and student parking.
I-75 North from Detroit
Take I-75 north to I-475 north. Take I-475 seven miles north to exit 8A (Longway Boulevard), which is approximately one mile from the I-475/I-69 interchange. After exiting I-475, turn left once so as to be traveling west on Longway Boulevard. At the first light you come to on Longway, turn left onto Chavez (southbound). Continue traveling south on Chavez. At the second traffic light, turn right onto campus. Immediately to your right is the UM-Flint Mill Street Parking Deck, which accommodates both visitor and student parking.
I-75 South
Take I-75 south to I-475 south. Take I-475 south approximately 9 miles. Get off I-475 at exit 8A (Longway Boulevard). After exiting I-475, you will be on Chavez Drive South. Continue traveling south on Chavez. At the third traffic light, turn right onto campus. Immediately to your right is the UM-Flint Mill Street Parking Deck, which accommodates both visitor and student parking.
Parking and Directions to the ITS Office
- Visitor parking is available in the Mill Street Parking Deck visitor's area (#17 on the Building Map). The rates are $.50 per hour with a maximum charge of $4.00 per day. The automated system accepts quarters, $1’s, $5’s, $10’s, $20’s, and credit cards. All change will be given in the form of quarters.
- Exit the parking deck and cross the street toward the buildings on your left (when facing the campus, or away from Chavez). Walk toward the sky tunnel (you will see it connecting two of the buildings). Underneath the sky tunnel is an entrance to Murchie Science Building (MSB, #13 on the building map). Once inside the MSB turn to the right and walk up the stairs, or take the elevator to the second floor. After exiting the stairs or the elevator proceed down the hallway to the left. The ITS office is will be on the right hand side of the hall.
