What is eduroam

eduroam is a centeralized authentication system that allows authorized users to connect to the wireless network in any of the participating colleges and universities world wide. eduroam is a high security solution that allows traveling student, professors, and support staff to connect to the network when they travel. Here at UM-Flint, eduroam is the primary wireless network, allowing connections from computers, laptops, and mobile devices.


Where is eduroam?

In the United States, eduroam is in more than 400 institutions and growing fast. eduroam is also available abroad in more than 70 territories world wide.

How do I connect to eduroam?

Students, faculty, and staff of any participating institution can connect to eduroam. The ITS Helpdesk contains several quicknotes to help you with connecting to eduroam. Gaming consoles cannot connect to eduroam, but can connect to MGuest. Information on that can be found here.
