RN to MSN Curricular Pathway
If you do not have a BSN degree and are interested in
becoming a Nurse Practitioner, you may choose to follow the RN/MSN path.
After completing the admission requirements below, students will be eligible to
apply directly to the MSN program. RN/MSN students do not receive a BSN
degree.
Requirements:
- CHM 150 or any 3-credit college level chemistry course
- SOC 215 or any college level statistics course
Grade of C+ or better required in above
courses.

Grade of B or better required. Many of these classes
are available online at UM-Flint
Applicants to the RN/MSN curricular pathway follow the same application
process as students in the RN/BSN program. Apply to the University
online at

You will submit official transcripts from all colleges and/or
universities you have attended. You will also need to complete the
Department of Nursing Application packet, available at
http://www.umflint.edu/nursing/documents/rn_ap.pdf Once
your packet and transcripts have been received, you will be sent a
letter regarding your admission status. A Letter of Intent must be
submitted to enter the RN/MSN pathway.
