CREATING
CHANGE
This year, the National Gay and
Lesbian Task Force will be holding its annual LGBTQQAI conference, Creating Change, in
Detroit! This is the largest conference of
its kind in the United
States, and this year will be the 20th presentation of
the conference. It is an
honor to have such an event held in Michigan. Creating Change will take place February 6-10 at the Detroit Marriot at the
Renaissance Center.

THE ELLEN
BOMMARITO LGBT
CENTER IS BACK IN
ITS OLD OFFICE… WITH SOME ROOM TO SPARE! OUR RENOVATIONS ARE COMPLETE, SO
COME BY AND CHECK OUT OUR NEWLY EXPANDED OFFICE. FOR THE TIME BEING, WE ARE WAITING
FOR NEW FURNITURE TO ARRIVE, AND WHEN ALL IS SET, WE WILL HAVE OUR GRAND
REOPENING CEREMONY IN OCTOBER.

The
Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Center of the University
of Michigan-Flint provides advocacy, support, outreach and a safe space
for all lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people and allies.
The LGBT
Center provides services and programming
to assist all members of the UM-Flint community in developing awareness
of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender concerns.
The Center offers periodicals, books, DVDs, general information, and
trains facilitators for classes and groups.
The LGBT
Center is staffed part-time. Many
student volunteers keep the Center open as often as we can. We eat lunch
and watch movies or have general discussions, usually about controversial
events and theories, between classes. We would love to have you visit and
introduce yourselves!
