What is it?
The University of Michigan – Flint Corporate Case Competition brings together undergrad and graduate students from across campus to form interdisciplinary teams that are asked to develop a solution to an issue currently impacting corporations on a global level. In addition to providing an excellent opportunity to work on a real business problem and to develop leadership and teambuilding skills, the Corporate Case Competition is a great resume builder. After coming up with a solution to the case your team will have the opportunity to present and market your ideas to a panel of judges consisting of faculty, staff, and corporate representatives. The numerous benefits of participating combined with the networking opportunities with corporations make the Corporate Case Competition a unique and exciting event. Freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, and graduate students from any major are welcome to participate.
  • Up to a $500 scholarship per participant of the winning team
  • Access to one-on-one sessions with high profile corporations to gain internships and jobs
  • Opportunity to network with corporations

2018 Corporate Case Competition

Student participation in the annual UM-Flint Corporate Case Competition more than doubled from the inaugural event last year.

The impact and scope of the competition extends even beyond this significant jump in student involvement, organizers said.

The contest teamed up 90 students with corporate partners, as they answered the question “How does a business create and maintain a highly engaged workforce?”
