Africana Studies
Assessment Summary for 2005-2006:
The Department of of Africana Studies is committed to teaching excellence and student success. So far, with very limited faculty, the Department has graduated several students who have successfully joined the workforce locally or nationally or have gone to the graduate schools for further studies. The Department continues to monitor the progress of its current and former students. The assessment plan is used understand the level of learning outcome of students who major in Africana Studies or take some of its courses. Lately, it has revised its assessment tools and started collecting data based on this plan. The 2005-06 report presents an early progress. The Department will continue to collect and report the data in the future.
