Scholarships
The Office of Admissions annually awards several merit based scholarships for the Fall semester:
- Michigan Scholar: Full-ride (4 year) scholarships plus textbook stipend for freshmen.
Eligibility: 3.9 or higher GPA with a 30 or higher ACT. - Chancellor Awards: Full-ride (4 year) scholarships for freshmen.
Eligibility: 3.8 or higher GPA with a 28 or higher ACT. - University Scholar Awards: Full-ride scholarships (2 year) for transfer students.
Eligibility: At least 50 transferable credit hours with a GPA of 3.8 or higher and 2 letters of reference. - Admissions Achievement Award: $2000 per year for 4 years or $2000 per year for 2 years.
Eligibility: GPA of 3.8 or higher and 22 or higher on the ACT test.
How do I apply for a Merit scholarship ?
In order to be considered for a merit scholarship, you must complete and submit the following to the Office of Admissions. The deadline for submitting Merit scholarhip applications is November 1 for Freshmen, and July 1 for Transfer students.
- Application: A completed application, including official transcripts and ACT/SAT test scores (test scores only required for high school students).
- A personal statement.
- Two letters of recommendation.
NOTE: Freshmen who have a GPA of 3.3 or higher may be eligible for other Admissions Merit scholarships. For more information, please contact the Office of Admissions.
