  • Professional Exposure: Present research papers and other findings at conferences around the country. Enhance your delivery skills, meet fellow students, and develop invaluable networking contacts – not to mention add to your résumé!

  • Leadership Skills: Our honors students are extremely active on campus. Participate in one of the many student organizations on campus and become an active member of the Honors Student Council. It’s a great way to build your leadership skills and meet new people with similar interests.

  • Travel Opportunity: Honors students are required to complete an off-campus research project. This project receives funding support from the Honors Program and serves as the capstone to your undergraduate experience. Many students choose to complete this project as part of a study abroad and have gone to places like Amsterdam, London, West Africa, Canada, and Japan, while others have chosen to stay close to home.
