I am ....accepted!
Congratulations on your acceptance to University of Michigan-Flint! You’re now a part of a community of scholars, leaders, and friends. People who, just like you, will make a difference in the world. You are University of Michigan-Flint.
Here are the next steps you’ll need to take:
- Enrollment Deposit: After you receive your acceptance letter, to secure your spot in the freshman class, you are required to submit a $50 Enrollment Deposit by May 1 (or $100 after May 1). The Enrollment Deposit is automatically credited toward your first semester’s tuition.
- Orientation: Sign up for Freshmen Orientation. Orientation at the University is a required one-day program for all first-year students to help acclimate you to college life. Talk to current students, tour campus, plan your schedule with your academic advisor, buy your books, and find your classes. There is a $60 orientation fee for first-year students, which will appear on your tuition bill. We strongly encourage transfer students to participate in orientation as well to get a feel for our campus. For transfer students, when you attend, a $5 orientation fee will be applied to your tuition bill to cover the cost of materials.
